Philadelphia Eagles launch autonomous ‘On the Fly’ Express Shops at home field

The Philadelphia Eagles have opened two "On the Fly" Express Shops featuring AI-powered computer vision technology for a cashierless experience.

The autonomous shops combine off-the-shelf cameras, computer vision and artificial intelligence. At the shops customers walk into the store, checking in with an app or credit card, grab items and get a receipt on their app or email after leaving the store.

The stores at Lincoln Financial Field, on the main concourse and in Pepsi Plaza, are powered by Verizon 5G, according to a press release.

"We always strive to offer a best-in-class experience at Lincoln Financial Field," Brian Napoli, SVP of corporate partnerships, Philadelphia Eagles, said in the release. "Leveraging Verizon's industry-leading technology and communication services to build out the new 'On the Fly' Express Shops will create a more seamless and efficient shopping experience at the stadium."
