Pennsylvania town introduces pay-by-plate parking kiosk

January 4, 2018

New Hope, Pennsylvania has introduced a pay-by-plate parking kiosk, according to a Facebook video featuring former "American Idol" star and Bucks County native Justin Guarini, who describes the new system while standing in front of the Bucks County Courthouse.

The user enters their license plate into the kiosk, then inserts payment in coins, bills, credit cards or via a phone app. The user can add time and request a receipt.

The receipt does not have to be displayed on the dashboard; all payments are sent electronically to the parking enforcement team.
