Pennsylvania company says it's 'Time' for a new way to make C-Store transactions

April 29, 2004

WILLOW GROVE, PA--E-Time System, Inc., which specializes in prepaid and postpaid products, is introducing two new self-serve solutions for the convenience store industry: E-Time Self Serve Kiosk and E-Time Semi Self Serve Kiosk, according to a press release.

E-Time Semi Self Serve can stand alone at any C-Store, allowing consumers to make product selections on a touchscreen. Customers then take a receipt with a product SKU printout to the register for payment. At the register, any C-Store point-of-sale application integrated with E-Time prints the digitized coupon upon payment.

"We recognize that C-Stores need a different approach to selling prepaid and other services such as bill payments," said Gil Barzeski, CEO of E-Time System.

"Integration with existing point-of-sale software is the key," Barzeski added. "When a customer prints out a product SKU, the C-Store clerk processes the transaction right from within the C-Store native point-of-sale application."

For C-Stores with a need for a stand-alone kiosk, the E-Time Self Serve Kiosk allows a customer the option to pay at the kiosk or print out a receipt with SKU for clerk-assisted register payment, according to the release.

Both E-Time Self Serve solutions are additions to the E-Time System Suite. Both can be maintained from a remote location.

E-Time is a solutions company providing technology for e-PIN electronic transactions. The company has relationships with T-Mobile, Locus Telecommunications, and Verizon Wireless as well as technology companies such as Intel, Microsoft, HP, Sony, IBM, and Palm.
