Industrial PC provider Arbor Solution has announced the launch of a PC with extended temperature controls to operate from -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit, according to a press release.
"Our new rugged ARES-530WT fanless embedded controller extends upper and lower temperature limits to new heights in this category," Arbor Solution Vice President Brian Yurkiw said in the release. "It may be safely stored and used in areas reaching as high as 185 degrees ... and as low as -40 degrees, making the Arbor Solution ARES-530WT the perfect solution for many more applications where temperature is a major concern."
The ARES-530WT comes with over a dozen I/O connections including serial ports, USB ports, expansion bus audio and reset button. According to the press release, these connections make the PC an effective solution for kiosks and multidisplay digital signage.
It can be supplied with either an Intel Celeron J1900 2GHz processor or Intel Atom E3845 1.91 GHz processor. It also comes with a DIN rail mounting kit with quick release capability, according to the release. The ARES-530WT supports the following operating systems: Windows Embedded 7, Windows 7 Professional, Windows Embedded Standard 8.0, Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro, Windows 8.1 Professional and Windows 10.
