PatientPoint self-service appoints new CEO
June 20, 2010
PatientPoint, a provider of self-service applications for the healthcare industry, today announced the appointment of Raj Toleti as chief executive officer. In his new role, Toleti will be responsible for overseeing the company's market positioning and growth strategies.
The company's core offering, PatientPoint Kiosk, is a patient-facing, self-registration kiosk developed for use in physician offices and retail clinic environments. The kiosk allows patients to electronically check-in for medical appointments, sign consent forms and make co-payments, resulting in shorter wait times and increased patient satisfaction.
This self-service approach to patient registration also improves efficiency for healthcare providers, the company says, helping to reduce billing costs by as much as 50 percent and increase the collection of patient co-payments and balances by an expected 65 percent.
