Parking kiosks coming to Ohio

Officials in Bowling Green, Ohio, are planning to deploy parking kiosks downtown. The kiosks will replace 100 older meters, according to a report by the Sentinel-Tribune.

The city will place three parking kiosks in City Lot 2. Users of that lot will be able to enter their license plate number at the kiosk and park anywhere. The kiosk will accept payment via coins, cash, credit card or smartphone.

The new kiosk system will allow the city to remove concrete parking blocks from the lot, simplifying maintenance, the report said.
