Parking kiosks will be installed in a majority of Kingston, New York parking lots, for which users will be charged 75 cents per hour to park, according to The Daily Freeman News.
The kiosks will be installed in six of the city's municipal lots — three in the Uptown business district; on Prince and Cornell streets in Midtown; and on Dock Street.
The city's common council voted in early March to borrow $125,000 to purchase the kiosks, despite opposition from some who objected to having to pay for use of the municipal lots.
