Parking kiosks can double revenue

ePaynews: Parking revenues at U.S. cities that install kiosks in place of individual meters typically grow by 30 percent to 60 percent in the years directly after deployment, according to industry reports. Pay-stations usually cost $8,000 apiece, and even if parking fees do not change as meters are replaced, total revenue increases as each space earns more money per day. A previous car's remaining parking time cannot be used by the next vehicle, while payment-card-enabled pay-stations give cash-strapped motorists more options with which to pay for parking.
