Parking kiosk confuses users in New Hampshire; lawmakers want to replace it

March 29, 2019

Lawmakers in Keene, New Hampshire, are considering removing a parking kiosk after merchants complained that residents are having problems using it, costing them business, according to The Keene Sentinel. One merchant asked the city to replace the kiosk, which requires users to enter their license plate number, with the coin-fed parking meter that occupied the space until mid-2017. The kiosk on Central Square is the only on-street parking kiosk the city has installed; others have been installed in parking lots.

The city council's municipal services, facilities and infrastructure committee voted to remove the kiosk. It is now up to the full council to vote on the matter.
