Texas city installs kiosks for paying water bills

Dayton, Texas has installed a pair of 24-hour service kiosks that allows residents to pay water bills, according to a Houston Chronicle report.

A drive up kiosk is located on the west side of City Hall and the second kiosk is in the lobby of the police station and municipal court building.

Customers can access accounts to check current balance, usage and account history. The kiosks accept cash, checks and credit cards.

The kiosks do not allow users to begin or terminate water service.

The kiosks will eventually provide other city services.
