Outerwall Inc. is the winner of the 2014 Software AG Innovation Award in Digital Enterprise for its enterprise management software.

Outerwall Inc. is the winner of the 2014 Software AG Innovation Award in Digital Enterprise for its enterprise management software, the company announced.

Outerwall uses digital and cloud-based applications to manage its line of 65,000 retail kiosks. The company offers turnkey solutions designed to increase foot traffic and store revenue for retail providers.

"We are honored to receive this award recognizing Outerwall's success streamlining back-end processes and operations, which ultimately allow us to reach our consumers in a smooth and efficient manner," said Carole McCluskey, chief technology officer for Outerwall, in a company announcement.
