OptConnect receives patent for 'Connectivity as a Service' modem

OptConnect, a provider of managed wireless connectivity services, has received a patent for OptConnect ema. its embedded modem that provides "Connectivity-as-a-Service" to the IoT industry, according to a press release.

OptConnect ema is a certified LTE category 4 modem with onboard intelligence, embedded firmware and software paired with OptConnect's suite of managed services. It eliminates the complexities of cellular most M2M/IoT deployments, providing a complete connectivity solution.
