Ontario college introduces community library kiosk

The Bata Library at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario has introduced a self-serve library kiosk, the newest location for the Peterborough Public Library's network of self-serve kiosks, available to anyone with a Peterborough library card, according to a Toronto Star report.

Other locations include the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Hospital Drive and the Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre on Brealey Drive.

Users scan their library card, enter their pin number and open the kiosk door. The item automatically checks out when the user removes the book and closes the door.

Anyone with a Peterborough library card can register online.
