Oklahoma county hires Fastenal to manage dispensing tools

November 28, 2016

The Rogers County, Oklahoma Board of County Commissioners recently approved a contract with Fastenal to dispense safety equipment — and possibly tools — to county crews for better around-the-clock inventory management, according to the Tahlequah Daily Press.

The contract will come at no cost to the county for the machine and the service. The county will only be responsible for the cost of replenishing items. Commissioner Dan DeLozier said the vending machine would help control employee and department spending and minimize losses.

Fastenal can generate reports of inventory on hand and will be responsible for re-stocking the products, an assistant for DeLozier said. The prices for items are comparable to state contract prices.
