The YMCA in Huber Heights, Ohio is the fifth location to host the Mobile Hands-Only Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Kiosk. The YMCA received the kiosk June 4 and will use it throughout the summer, according to a Dayton 24/7 Now report.
The kiosk training takes just five minutes to teach hands-only CPR. First, it plays a video that explains the basics of hands-only CPR and has a mannequin torso to practice on. The kiosk then administers a 30-second test.
"At the YMCA at the Heights, we are dedicated to enriching the well-being and physical health of those we serve and are excited to provide our community with the opportunity to learn hands-only CPR," Chris Lindeman, executive director of the YMCA at the Heights, told the news outlet.
"Hosting the Mobile Kiosk at the YMCA allows the American Heart Association to meet our community where they are and provide them with the confidence they need to practice this lifesaving skill."
