Ohio county to install kiosk for paying real estate taxes

Residents of Columbiana County, Ohio will be able to pay real estate taxes at a self-serve kiosk outside the county treasurer's office in the courthouse after commissioners approved the $13,000 purchase from Payment Pros Wednesday, according to a Morning Journal report.

The kiosk will allow for faster payments without personal contact during the pandemic.

The machine will include a safe box inside to protect the payment and will provide a printed receipt.

The kiosk could eventually be programmed to accept payments for other purposes, such as renewing dog licenses.
