HACKENSACK, N.J. - ObjectSoft Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: OSFT.OB), the troubled video entertainment kiosk provider, is considering a merger with Golden Screens Interactive Technologies Inc., also a maker of interactive kiosks.
The merged company would be a public corporation operating in various kiosk markets. The merger is at least three to four months away.
ObjectSoft has engaged in a flurry of activity lately. According to recent press releases, in May the maker of the FastTake entertainment kiosk partnered with Triveni Digital to market a fast 16 megabits per second data network to kiosk makers. In April, the Nasdaq delisted ObjectSoft because its stock was trading below $1. That month ObjectSoft's long time chief executive officer Daved E. Y. Sarna resigned and was replaced by S. Michael Rudolph.
The company was founded in 1990. The FastTake kiosk allows users to search and review movie titles, sample movie trailers and purchase other goods and services from the kiosk located in high-traffic retail locations.
Golden Screens provides electronic commerce applications for Internet-based self-service terminals and the next generation of Web-Enabled Public Telephones. The Golden Screens GS Planet product suite is a comprehensive platform for developing Internet-based terminals that offer secure Web access through intuitive touchscreen interfaces.
