JPMorgan Chase Bank has announced it will close 24/7 ATM vestibules at 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. in New York City due to increasing crime, according to a report by the Hill.

"We decide[d] to close several ATM vestibules at 5PM or 6PM, aligning the hours of service to that of the normal branch hours, due to rising crime and vagrancy that occurred in these previously 24/7 vestibules," the bank stated in a tweet.

Chase told the Hill the strategy would affect only a small number of ATMs.

Users, in response on Twitter, asked Chase if they planned to refund ATM fees from, "bodega ATMs" since some of those ATMs are no longer available.
