The National Retail Federation has released the results of its year-end poll of the subscribers of its SmartBrief e-mail newsletter. Of the 517 respondents, 57 percent said they plan to spend more on technology in 2006 than they did in 2005, with 12 percent saying their spending would decrease.
Contactless payments weren't high on the priority list for most of the respondents - 82 percent said they had no plans to add such payment methods in 2006, with 11 percent saying they did.
