Novax says oui to remote management

March 17, 2002

NEW YORK - French kiosk maker Novax is redesigning its kiosks to add remote management, thanks to a partnership with eDevice Inc., according to an eDevice news release.

eDevice, a French-American company founded in 1999, makes SmartStack, software for connecting computers to the Internet and remotely monitoring them.

Novax of Bordeaux, France makes the Visioprix information kiosk targeted at pharmacies and large scale distribution centers. In the past, the Visioprix information was updated by users. Users received information via fax and added it to the kiosk manually.

By integrating eDevice's SmartStack, the Visioprix can be connected to the Internet and updated in real-time. The kiosk buyer no longer has to worry about updating the machine.

Startup eDevice is headquartered in New York; its research and development office is located in Bordeaux, France.
