Northwest expands check-in kiosks to Europe, Asia

MINNEAPOLIS -- Northwest Airlines (Nasdaq: NWAC) is expanding its self-service check-in kiosk service to include customers traveling with electronic tickets from the United States and Canada to Europe and Asia.

The expansion includes connections through Tokyo's Narita Airport, according to a company news release. Northwest already offers international self-service check-in for E-Ticket customers traveling from the United States to and from Canada and to Mexico and the Caribbean.

Plans for providing the service to customers whose travel originates from Europe, Asia, Mexico and the Caribbean to the United States and Canada will be announced soon, according to the release.
