City officials in North Miami, Florida have deployed a 24-hour library kiosk at the Joe Celestin Center. The kiosk is a mini library that will enable check-out, returns, holds and account management, according to a report by Hoodline.
With the kiosk, the city can provide library services without the need for additional staff. It can expand access to reading and learning for North Miami residents who cannot visit libraries during normal operating hours.
"This service provides flexible, accessible literacy resources, and this 24-Hour Library is a direct investment in our residents' education, growth and lifelong learning," city leaders told the news outlet.
