Residents of North Dakota will be able to take out and return books at 10 book vending machines operated by the state library in communities that lack library services, according to a report in The Bismarck Tribune.
The costs will be funded with more than $913,000 of American Rescue Plan Act coronavirus aid.
Each machine will hold 228 items, including both adult and kids books. Patrons will scan their library card and choose a book from the machine.
The machines are expected to be operational at the end of March.
