North Dakota tests vehicle registration renewal kiosks

The North Dakota Department of Transportation has begun testing self-serve vehicle registration renewal kiosks, according to KFYR-TV in Bismarck, N.D. It's a year-long pilot project in Bismarck only. Users scan the bar code on their renewal notice, confirm the information, slide in their card and the new registration comes out the bottom.

There is also a terminal inside Kirkwood Mall in the IKeating Wing, and another at the Oasis Truckstop/Stamart Travel Center along I-94 that is open 24/7.
