The Rowan County, North Carolina public library will improve its check out option by installing an Envisionware self-service kiosk at its four branches, according to a msn.com report.
The library was awarded a $36,000 grant to improve its technology under a collective $1.5 million awarded to 46 libraries statewide.
The kiosks will help patrons reserve a computer, renew borrowed items or access account information.
The grant will help improve accessibility for caretakers, persons with disabilities or have situations that prevent them from visiting a checkout desk.
