Newport installs self-pay parking kiosks

Parking kiosks have been installed at Easton's Beach in Newport, Rhode Island as part of the self-pay parking program approved by the City Council last year, according to a newportri.com report.

The city purchased eight Hectronic Citea Color Touch pay stations for $62,280. Similar kiosks were installed last year, and city officials were pleased that the machines delivered reduced operating costs and better customer service and increased revenues.
