New York town scraps some parking kiosks

The changes took effect Aug. 1 as part of an effort to simplify downtown parking. On-street parking remains limited to two hours, while motorists who need more time are encouraged to use municipal lots or the parking garage. The city is working with the Auburn Downtown Business Improvement District to explain the new system to businesses and visitors.
