New York City's Off-Track Betting Corp. has asked the state's legislature for approval of a restructuring plan that includes placing 1,100 to 1,300 self-betting kiosks in bars, restaurants and bowling alleys, according to the New York Post.
The proposed machines would be Internet-based and modeled on self-betting kiosks at racetracks, where bettors can buy cards in different denominations and use them to make bets.
