New software, name for Degasoft

LONDON - Kiosk software developer Degasoft Ltd. took advantage of the launch of its Kudos version 6.1 software package to play the name game on Oct. 1, changing its corporate name to Kudos Development Group.

The name change is a reflection of the company's flagship kiosk software line.

"Our new name, Kudos Development Group, better reflects our business goals and places more emphasis on our software and service offerings," said Thor Ibsen, Kudos chief executive officer and president, in a news release.

Company officials said the new version of Kudos features enhanced browser security, a wider range of application design options, and targeted content distribution through the grouping of kiosks in a network.

The name change is accompanied by the launch of a new Web site at www.kudosdevelopment.com. Kudos officials said the new Web site reflects recent changes at the company, including the new name and the opening of its first office in North America.
