New remote control option released by Computer Associates

ISLANDIA, N.Y. - A new remote control option for managing point-of-sale kiosks, ATMs and Web-enabled manufacturing equipment has been released by Computer Associates Inc.

The new Unicenter TNG Remote Control Option 5.1 is designed to reduce the ongoing cost of ownership of computing assets while boosting end-to-end service levels. Computer Associates said growing use of self-service ATM and kiosk terminals in corporate marketing and customer service strategies led the company to enhance the device.

The new option allows owners of kiosks a wide range of security features as well, including the ability to access control functions and protest remote devices in the field.
