New 'pavement pod' kiosks hit the streets in Liverpool

eGov Monitor: Seven new "pavement pod" kiosks are about to hit the streets of Liverpool, offering e-government applications and tourism information. The pods also allow users to send e-mail, text messages, photo mail and picture postcards. "The city's pavement pods have been a huge success - serving as 'culture beacons' by connecting people to a wealth of cultural and tourism information, and bringing council services even closer to residents," said Louise Gray, head of customer contact for the city.
