New kiosks in the works for John Wayne Airport
August 25, 2010
Orange County, Calif., is on target to spend about $24 million to modernize its John Wayne Airport, including installing new ticket counters and swapping out airline-specific self-serve kiosks for ones standardized for all carriers, The Orange County Register reports.
The county's plans now call for replacing the electronic screens at baggage claims as well as the monitors that travelers scan for information on arrivals and departures, with the goal of a "sleeker, more modern and streamlined appearance."
