New Jersey city replaces parking meters with kiosks

August 7, 2018

The city of Summit, New Jersey, has installed five-hour and 90-minute parking kiosks to replace parking meters on several streets, according to nj.com. The kiosks will be operational as of Aug. 9.

Customers will be prompted to enter their license plate number and may pay with exact change, by credit card or via the Parkmobile app on their smartphone.

Summit Parking Services Agency personnel will be available onsite to assist customers. The old parking meters on these streets will have instructions to "pay at kiosk" until they are removed.
