New health kiosk speeds vital measurements

Kiosk startup aims to speed up the admissions process and doctor's office visits.

November 7, 2014

Atlanta-based startup Hygeia is about to begin beta testing a new kind of self-service kiosk that can help patients quickly measure vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation and weight, according to medGagdet.com.

The new H1 Clinical Kiosk is designed to speed up the initial gathering of information and measurements that can be a time-consuming task at the beginning of a visit to a doctor's office or the hospital, the website said.
