New Hampshire mayor lobbies for parking kiosks

Manchester (New Hampshire) Union Leader: Mayor Frank Guinta has proposed spending $1 million to replace many of the city's parking meters with "pay and display" kiosks, which accept both credit and debit cards. If approved by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, the first kiosks could go up as early as this fall.

"They should be able to pay for themselves," said Chris Luz, a consultant who recommended the kiosks in last fall's Downtown Manchester Parking Study.
