The city of Keene, New Hampshire, has recently deployed new parking kiosks in Keene's Commercial Street lot, according to areportby Sentinel Source. The kiosks are meant to replace the traditional parking meters, which were taken down during a recent reconstruction project in the lot.
The kiosks charge the same amount as the parking meters, 20 cents per hour, and have been placed in the center island of the lot. In order to use the kiosks, drivers simply need to enter their license plate and payment.
Currently, the kiosks only accept coins as payment, but users can utilize the Parkmobile website to pay via credit card, according to the report. The kiosks do not dispense receipts, they simply store the user's license number.
