Nevada Legal Services has expanded its Nevada Legal Kiosk Project, adding six kiosks to libraries across the state, according to a 3 News report. The expansion aims to further enhance access to the civil legal system for seniors and individuals with limited technological resources.
Launched in summer 2023, the project initially deployed 22 kiosks in libraries statewide. The kiosks provide free legal information and forms, legal aid and community resources, enable document printing and facilitate online meetings and remote court hearings. The kiosks offer curated legal information on a variety of topics, including housing issues, divorce and custody, protection orders, guardianship, healthcare and financial powers of attorney, debt collection, Social Security and veterans resources.
The expanded network now includes 28 library locations, with seven situated in the Las Vegas Valley.
