The Nevada Taxpayers Association selected the Clark County Recorder's Office as a finalist for the "good government award" for the design, development and implementation of a remote multipurpose interactive recording kiosk, according to a press release.
The objective of the kiosk is to offer constituents a quick, user-friendly mechanism to retrieve certified and non-certified copies, and to record land records from a remote, stand-alone location while interacting with a deputy recorder in real-time.
One of these kiosks is located in Laughlin, and has provided the constituents a more convenient way to access and record their documents without having to drive all the way to the Clark County Government Center in Las Vegas.
The kiosk was developed to allow multiple county departments to integrate their services in a "one-stop shop."
The recorder's office is currently collaborating with the county business license department to develop a kiosk to support the business license application process.
