The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles has relocated its DMV Now self-service kiosk outside the Carson City DMV office, making it accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, according to a press release. By placing the kiosk outdoors, the agency enables customers to complete routine DMV transactions outside normal office hours, including evenings and weekends.
According to DMV Director Tonya Laney, the change is intended to improve convenience and reduce reliance on in-person counter service. Customers can use the kiosk to perform common tasks such as vehicle registration renewal, registration reinstatement, and printing driver history records. The DMV encourages residents to use kiosks as a first option for simple transactions because they typically offer a faster and more streamlined experience than visiting a service window.
