WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Netyou Computer Communication Corp. will use bill acceptors from MEI (formerly Mars Electronics International) that accept torn, wrinkled or dirty cash in its public Internet kiosks and web payphones.
Netyou, based in Orlando, Fla., has already deployed more than 300 machines with the MEI equipment, and expects to begin retrofitting existing kiosks with the new bill acceptors. MEI's AE2600 and LE3000 accept bills in various denominations facing up, down, or either direction. Netyou has 300 machines in the field, mostly in Florida hotel and restaurant chains.
MEI's technology uses optical technology to maintain high acceptance and reduce jam rates. It operates four manufacturing plants on three continents, with sales offices in 10 countries.
