LOUISVILLE, Ky. - NetWorld Alliance has announced that it will expand its annual tradeshow for the kiosk end-user market to two events per year. The first Kiosk Show of 2005 will be held in Orlando, Feb. 20-23.
The Kiosk Show is designed to educate the end-market about opportunities to adopt kiosk and other self-service technology. Advances in software and hardware as well as booming user-adoption rates have made the implementation of the equipment an efficient way to lower the cost of doing business while improving customer satisfaction.
As the publisher of KIOSKmarketplace.com, Kiosk magazine and Kiosks.org and the manager of
Kiosks.org Association, NetWorld Alliance is in a unique position to bring together kiosk and self-service industry experts.Enthusiastic attendee response at the October Kiosk Show in Boston motivated NetWorld Alliance executives, who purchased the show from Voyagi Inc. in July, to double the number of annual shows. The February event will take place at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center. Amenities include a championship golf course and four acres of indoor activity including a Canyon Ranch spa, fitness facilities, live entertainment, restaurants and shopping.
Many of the exhibitors from the Boston Kiosk Show in October will return for the Orlando show, bringing self-service kiosks for vertical industries including retail, quick-serve restaurant/meals-to-order, travel and tourism, hotel/motel, transportation, banking and finance, gaming and entertainment, photo processing, healthcare, human resources and government. Attendees will be able to test-drive best-in-class self-service technology and connect with the world's top suppliers of kiosk solutions, as well as comparison shop between providers via The Kiosk Show's self-service showcase.
The two-day event begins Feb. 22 with seminars targeted separately to the grocery, financial, retail, travel and hospitality, and entertainment and gaming industries, followed by a cocktail reception. Programming Tuesday is proceeded by five in-depth workshops on topics such as kiosk deployment, ROI and systems integration. The Kiosk Show kicks into full swing Feb. 23 with a full roster of exhibitions, seminars and a panel discussion populated by industry and end-market professionals.
To provide the best possible environment for exhibitors and attendees to make purchasing decisions, the Kiosk Show is open only to those end-users who are buyers, key decision-makers or influencers involved in the purchasing or management of self-service/interactive kiosk solutions. Attendees may pre-qualify and apply for registration via The Kiosk Show's Web site: http://www.kioskshow.com.
Previously, the Kiosk Show allowed only total-solution providers to exhibit. In Orlando, however, a special area has been set up to accommodate products and service providers.
Greg Swistak, show coordinator, explained the policy change as a benefit to exhibiting vendors and to end-user attendees. "After our program in Boston, many prospective exhibitors who were previously excluded indicated a desire to support the goals of the Show, but couldn't find a meaningful way to demonstrate this support. Many of the solution providers who exhibited in Boston also felt it was unfair to exclude the companies that they work closely together with and with whom they have longstanding relationships," he said.
"By adding the area for kiosk and self-service products and support, we enable a broader representation of all the market has to offer to the buyers attending. We also enhance the value for our traditional total-solution exhibitors by attracting additional attendees who may not have visited otherwise."
Past attendees of The Kiosk Show include Walt Disney, Universal Studios, Office Depot, UPS, Continental Airlines, IBM and many more. For more information about The Kiosk Show, visit www.kioskshow.com. For news and updates about the show, visit industry news portal KIOSKmarketplace.com.
