NetShift is leading a $1 million project to provide Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) with state-of-the-art journey planner terminals at a number of heavily used stations and stops around Manchester=s transport infrastructure. Key sites to have the new terminals include the Trafford Centre, Manchester Piccadilly, Wigan, Bolton and Rochdale among others.
NetShift=s Enterprise remote management solution will combine with GMPTE=s own journey planning software to provide passengers with detailed journey itineraries encompassing all modes of transport from buses, trains and trams to walking. The systems will conform with the latest government legislation concerning electronic dissemination of public transport information.
