NetShift, NCR partner for Internet kiosks

March 13, 2002

HANNOVER, Germany - NetShift Software Ltd. and NCR Corp. (NYSE:NCR) have entered into an agreement to market public access Internet kiosks throughout much of Western Europe. The agreement was announced at the CeBIT technology show in Hannover, Germany, on March 13.

Under the terms of the agreement, NCR will license NetShift's software for use in NCR's EasyPoint 41 and 45 kiosks. The EasyPoint 45 will be available in selected regions beginning in April.

The two companies expect businesses and other organizations to take part in the program. Those organizations can deploy the kiosks in a variety of settings, including shopping malls, convenience stores, and coffee houses.

The agreement covers the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Spain. Other countries will probably be added to the partnership later this year, according to officials at the two companies.
