Netshift, friendlyway target office managers with new kiosk

March 31, 2003

SAN FRANCISCO -- Kiosk developer friendlyway, the developer and marketer of the Interactive Information Station, has partnered with NetShift to add NetShift's software to the Station.

According to a news release, the two companies are targeting office and building managers who may want to add the Station to corporate reception areas.

NetShift's interactive self-service Assistant/Directory application allows receptionists to generate seating plans, phone numbers and facilities information for visitors via a touchscreen interface. In addition, visitors awaiting attention can access pre-selected Web content for the latest corporate news and information, as well as travel and weather options for their business travels.

When not being used, the Assistant/Directory system can broadcast corporate presentations and advertising, according to the release.

The freestanding silver aluminum or high-gloss black stations complement many business environments and can be customized with any corporate logo or branding.

In the release, friendlyway's President and Chief Executive Alexander von Welczeck called the partnership "the perfect union of hardware form and software function."

The companies will exhibit the system at the Building Owners & Managers International's annual event, The Office Building Show, June 29-July 1 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco.

According to the release, purchase orders with typical customization can be delivered within six weeks. The complete standard configured CLASSIC Assistant/Directory system is available to lease or purchase for $7,495 in silver and $7,795 in high-gloss black.
