NETSHIFT AND CYBERLINE ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP FOR ADVANCED PUBLIC ACCESS APPLICATIONS

April 9, 2002

Leading public access solutions provider, NetShift and Cyberline, developer of the world leading range of Automated Services Machines (ASMTM), have announced the completion of a partnership agreement between the two companies to deliver advanced public access solutions."urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Cyberline's ASMs, launched at CeBIT 2002 in Hannover (March 13 to 20), are positioned to become the self-service platform of choice for leading financial, government and distribution organisations across the globe. The latest NetShift best-of-breed software solutions enable systems and network integrators to deploy hugely scalable public access solutions with hundreds or even hundreds of thousands of terminals if required.

The new series of Cyberline ASM self-service machines offer maximum flexibility with the highest levels of customisation possible. Intended to comply with disability acts throughout the world, the ASM integrates proven technologies to support "access for all" policies, thus fully reflecting the spirit of "social inclusion." A further factor designed to ensure the ASM's success is that financial, government and distribution organisations can not only port existing applications onto machines but they can also be enhanced via options such as videoconferencing, credit card readers, A4, receipt and report printing, coin mechanisms, signature pads and cash dispensing (ATM cassettes).

The latest release of NetShift version 5.5 includes a host of enhancements to improve performance, reliability and resilience for both standalone and network configurations. Version 5.5 also makes it easy for systems developers to integrate their public access applications with NetShift Payment, the company's flexible payment component that offers support for a comprehensive range of payment devices from coin mechanisms to card readers.

Version 5.5 means that extremely flexible user interface configurations are now possible and remote functionality can be easily integrated into deployed applications via the NetShift Enterprise remote management system.

Commenting on the partnership, John Purcell, Netshift's Vice President of Marketing, said, "We are very excited at the prospect of working closely with Cyberline to develop and enhance the concept of ASM which we see as an ideal platform for advanced financial, government and leisure applications."

Claudio Ingrosso, Cyberline's Head of Global Development Strategies, added, "Today we have a modernising government and modernisation in bank branches, supermarkets and post offices alike, all with the common aim of affording greater choice and improved levels of service delivery at lower cost. With the combination of Cyberline and NetShift, our vision is that the modular ASM series will form the industry standard solution for self-service with the ASM 1000 fast becoming the mainstream choice for next generation ATMs."
