EVERSON, Wash. - NetBooth Corp. and its various operating divisions have been nominated for several 2002 eNevada Awards in technology innovation.
PAYCENTERS.com was nominated for "e-StartUp of the Year," and PCKiosk for "Most Innovative Small Company." Several of PCKiosk's Web site designs are up for awards in the "Most Innovative Casino/Gaming Web Site" category. Awards will be announced May 11 during a ceremony in Las Vegas, according to the sponsor, Technology Business Alliance of Nevada.
Based in Las Vegas, NetBooth is a full-service provider, operating a group of companies that provide hardware, software and other creative and consumer services. The company announced in early April it had entered merger discussions with SMO Multimedia Corp. (Pink Sheets: SMOC). (See story: SMO, NetBooth close in on merger)
SMO already is lining up new business pending the merger, hiring a marketing director for new technologies offered by the combined companies. Dan Stroick will lead a team marketing SMO's advanced kiosk system and NetBooth products to the shopping center industry, according to an SMO news release. Stoick previously was an independent consultant for various industries, including banking, shopping malls, coin-op, retail and distribution.
The merger is expected to be completed by late April. No financial details have been announced.
