BIRMINGHAM, England - Kiosk manufacturer NeoProducts Ltd. enjoyed a double celebration on Sept. 28 in Birmingham, England, formally opening a 25,000 square foot manufacturing facility and rolling the 6,000th unit of its Jobpoint touchscreen kiosk off the line.
The facility opened earlier this year after NeoProducts landed a deal to produce 9,000 Jobpoint kiosks for employment firm UK Jobcentres. But the formal opening came on Sept. 28, with UK Minister for Work Nick Brown attending the ceremony.
Founded in Australia in 1987, NeoProducts' move into England is part of the company's global expansion plans.
"(Birmingham features) excellent access to skilled workers and support industries as well as providing an ideal center for our expansion in the rapidly growing kiosk market, both in the UK and the rest of Europe," NeoProducts managing director Michael Smith said during the ceremony.
