The Queensgate shopping center in the U.K. will be home to the first Skype-style video conferencing kiosks that deliver law advice, according to Law Careers.
Instant Law UK is behind the deployment and will launch two kiosks this month, which will pave the way for a network of 120 kiosks in shopping centers around the country if the initial two get positive feedback.
For a fixed fee, users can speak to a solicitor regarding a range of practice areas, including family law, personal injury, immigration and employment, with calls taking an average of 15-20 minutes.
"This is a unique opportunity for technology and a traditional market to come together, to truly open access and deliver a quality customer experience," Mike Poore, head of IT communications at Instant Law UK, said in the story.
