NCR wins European POS prize

MILAN, Italy -- NCR Corp. won a prestigious prize from Microsoft Corp. for its Advanced Store @Retail software solution.

It was the third consecutive year that NCR brought home a prize from Microsoft in the European Retail Application Developer (RAD) awards. This one was for "Best Retail In-Store Application" for a point-of-sale program that enhances operator productivity, reduces training time and improve customer service.

Last year, NCR captured two of the awards, "Greatest Business Impact" and "Best Retail Application" for its Web-based kiosks.
