NCR suing Blockbuster trust over Blockbuster name on its DVD kiosks

According to Bloomberg, NCR Corp. is suing the Blockbuster Inc. trust in district court in Delaware over the right to use the Blockbuster name on its branded movie-rental kiosks.

"NCR has undertaken significant time and expense in establishing and operating kiosks throughout the United States branded with the trademarks, and has earned substantial revenues from those operations," Melanie Sharp, an attorney representing NCR, said in court papers filed May 27.

NCR pays Blockbuster to be able to use its brand and collects all revenue from rentals from its Blockbuster Express-branded DVD kiosks.
